AES cryptographic modes of operation for high-speed networks

Abstract

In this paper we analysis the two widely used modes of operations to perform symmetric encryption and/or decryption for a large/huge number of clients. Our analysis is based on the AES standard. As the existing modes is either using a lot of memory to gain high throughput or use low memory with low throughput. Thus we propose a new cryptographic mode of operation that takes the benefits from both modes.
