Abstract

Our research develops a textual Domain-specific Language (DSL) to model clinical pathways (CPs), the standardized medical treatment procedures used in e-health systems. Acadela supports modeling crucial workflow CP elements, dynamic graphical representation, external communications, and import elements, with a visualizer to preview the modeled CP. Evaluations with medical and technical staff imply that the DSL is potentially usable, learnable, and capable of modeling CPs in various treatments.
