Abstract

Wide-band RF-power-Amplifiers are becoming more and more popular in wireless systems. Instead of using one power-Amplifier for each communication-channel on its own, wide-band amplifiers are able to transmit several carriers simultaneously. The main challenge is the intermodulation-performance of the amplifier, which is degraded by each additional carrier. This paper describes the design, the simulation and realization of a LC UHF band-pass-filter that rejects out-band intermodulation products. The main challenges for the filter design are the steep slopes and the power handling capability up to 100 W which requires especially low insertion-loss in the pass-band.
