Abstract

This paper presents a hybrid method combining the transmission-line-matrix (TLM) method with time-domain integral equations (IE) for the efficient simulation of spatially distant TLM subregions. The different TLM regions are coupled via free-space dyadic Green's functions and a total-field/scattered- field technique is applied to insert and extract the electromagnetic fields. Therefore a modified connection operator is developed for the TLM method to account for the field discontinuity at the separation surface.
