Abstract

This paper presents a three-leg voltage source inverter topology for supplying two-phase induction machines. The paper also presents the pulse width modulation strategy for voltage control and a quasi time-invariant model to describe an unbalanced two-phase machine. The correctness of the proposed system is demonstrated through experimental results obtained from a 1kW laboratory prototype.
