Abstract

The problem is considered of symbol-by-symbol a posteriori-probabilistic decoding of nonsystematic block code information symbols with the help of the code array. In particular, this problem arises in decoding generalized cascade codes. The known algorithm BCJR, applied to minimum code array, does not give a solution. The conception of broadened code array is introduced that allows one to solve the problem using the algorithm BCJR.
