Abstract

A novel resonance spin-echo spectrometer developed by the Technical University of München is installed on the guide G1-bis of the Laboratoire Léon Brillouin. As the available wavelength spectrum was not well adapted, a complete upgrade of the couple guide/spectrometer has been carried out. The use of a Dornier velocity selector, of CILAS supermirrors and polarizing supermirrors made at PSI enables us to build a very efficient new polarizing guide. An increase in intensity by a factor 35 at 5 Å has been measured. A polarization efficiency of 94% at 5 Å is reported.
