Abstract
“Regions of conjugation” rather than an aromatic system as in 4′ characterize the title compound 4, easily prepared from the ethylene derivative 1 by way of 2 and 3. The nearly planar 4 consists of a methallyl anion attached to a diphenylphosphoniomethanide cation. (Figure Presented.)
