Abstract
The instruments and equipment for microvascular surgery, and also the technique, are illustrated. Clinical cases of replantation of fingers, thumbs and hands are presented. At the Replantation center of the Clinic on the right bank of the Isar, Munich, 46 replantation operations were performed from November 1975 to April 1976. Three free-flap transfers to leg, skull, and hand demonstrate the indications for and possibilities of this new technique.
