Abstract

The degree of coarsening of {110}NaCl surfaces as revealed after annealing at temperatures from 500 to 800°C was investigated. Up to 700°C the degree of coarsening remains nearly unchanged, but between 700 and 800°C two strongly differing structures exist side by side on the surface.
