Abstract
The electron impact induced decomposition pathways of several μ-methylene complexes of Co, Rh, Mn, and Fe were elucidated by high resolution measurements, analysis of metastable transitions, and 2H-labelling. The fragmentation patterns are discussed with regard to the nature of the different central atoms and methylene ligands, and compared With those of terminal carbene complexes.
