Abstract
The article evaluates the two management instructions "changing arable land into grassland" and "extensifying intensive used grassland" from an economic point of view. As method to calculate income losses serves an approach on the level of agricultural area as well as on the level of farms. Considering indicators such as land use, stocking density and rate of affection of farms, possible adaptation methods of farms are discussed and resulting losses calculated. It is shown that the applied method is a suitable instrument to evaluate ecological management instructions.
