Project Details
Description
The term artificial intelligence (AI) is currently on everyone's lips. From September 2023, this highly topical subject will be taught in Bavarian high schools. With LehrplanPLUS, the subject of computer science has become a compulsory part of the curriculum for students of all educational backgrounds in grade 11. One of the topics covered in this grade is AI, which is also covered intensively in the upper secondary curriculum.
In order to optimally prepare computer science teachers for the new content, we are launching a major AI training offensive in cooperation with the Bavarian Ministry of Education and Cultural Affairs from 1 September 2022. In this project, a basic and advanced training course will be developed to provide computer science teachers with the necessary content knowledge and pedagogical content knowledge for successful teaching - using concrete materials for use in the classroom. In addition, current topics and possible applications of AI will be discussed in order to provide teachers with examples for the highest possible level of practical orientation in the classroom.
