Inventive Analysis in Landscape Architecture

Project: Research

Project Details

Description

The landscape that surrounds us every day is infinitely rich in information, but we only see what we have learnt to see. Our knowledge of landscape is therefore always limited, and we often design our environment too simplistically. Landscape architects and planners, however, pursue the goal of making the environment and landscape so diverse today that they will continue to offer people and nature the highest possible quality of life in the future. We enthusiastically enjoy the magnificent city parks and gardens that have been realised in the past, but we must not limit ourselves to reconstructing landscapes or continuing to pass on historical approaches without reflection. Landscape is a complex organism that must be able to change continuously in order to remain alive. Society is a complex organism that must be able to change continuously in order to remain alive. This is why the question of how the new enters the world is of crucial importance - not only for landscape architecture and its neighbouring disciplines.
