Quantum computing is considered to be one of the most promising new technological developments that is expected to have a disruptive effect on our world. The task of general computer science education in schools is therefore to make the underlying ideas, potentials and limitations of this technology accessible to pupils. The high-quality subject-specific and didactic qualification of prospective teachers is of central importance for this. So far, however, there has been a lack of suitable formats for this new and highly complex field - including at the TU Munich. This project therefore aims to develop a seminar concept for students studying to become computer science teachers to acquire subject-specific and didactic skills in the field of quantum computing with the involvement of various cooperation partners. The acquired teaching skills will then be applied in practice by the students designing, implementing and evaluating a science week for year 11 pupils in cooperation with a school. Building on their own experiences as well as networking and exchange with other members of the Community of Practice, the project thus contributes to implementing the Stifterverband's recommendations for the contemporary teaching of quantum skills for Computing Education in practice and to identifying conditions for success and best practices in university teaching.
