Project Details
Description
The main objective of the project is to develop and pilot an Earth observation-based monitoring system for forests in Bavaria, which provides semi-automated, near real-time information on changes in vegetation height, such as those caused by disturbances, and quantifies their impact on timber stocks. The system should offer a spatial resolution of 10 m and at least an annual, ideally a monthly, temporal resolution.
