DigiPro-CH is one of three subprojects at the Technical University of Munich within the collaborative project ViFoNet. As part of the BMBF-funded program “Competence Network learn:digital,” it promotes the dialogue between research and practice for the digital transformation of schools and teacher education. The ViFoNet collaborative project aims to develop, evaluate, and make video-based professional development modules for digitally supported teaching available nationwide. A unifying element is the integration of video-based task formats using illustrative explanatory and teaching videos.
Within the framework of the subproject, professional development programs for teachers are being developed, evaluated, and implemented. These focus on Problem-Based Learning within the advanced module in Chemistry Education, covering topics such as light and color, as well as Education for Sustainable Development with an emphasis on subject-specific language. The professional development modules make use of teaching videos from the Teacher Education Toolbox to help teachers learn how to handle these digital resources and introduce them effectively into their teaching.
The focus is on subject-specific language as a central medium of instructional support, which is essential for student learning.
