Project Details
Description
The healthcare sector faces significant challenges, including aging populations, lifestyle-related chronic diseases, and global staff shortages. To address these issues, the ALPHA-KI project aims to develop an empathic digital health assistant, ALPHA, designed for chronically ill individuals. ALPHA, a voice-controlled smartwatch, enhances the everyday life of those in need of care by making it healthier, safer, and more engaging. The research focuses on four key AI-related areas: creating an efficient AI platform for health data management and analytics, real-time emergency detection through predictive analysis of location, movement, and vital data, continuous blood pressure monitoring via a predictive virtual sensor, and empathic dialog management to facilitate human-like conversations.
