Abstract

A modified method of isoelectric focussing (IEF) closely resembling disc electrophoresis (DE) in polyacrylamide (PAA) gels is described. By means of pherograms of fruit and vegetable proteins, the high resolving power, separation efficiency, and sensitivity of IEF as compared to DE are demonstrated and discussed.
