N2 - The paper describes the reliability comparative analysis of a hybrid-electric helicopter traction drive with two competitive topologies. The entire propulsion system reliability assessment is based on the reliability evaluation of the system components. The dependency of reliability of the helicopter's propulsion system on the degree of hybridization is presented. Additionally, with the graphs of the variation in the probability of failure-free operation, recommendations how to improve the reliability indices of the hybrid-electric helicopter's traction drive was made.
