RECONSTRUCTION OF THE CURRENT DISTRIBUTION OF A SPHERE BY FAR-FIELD-INVERSE-SCATTERING.

Publikation: KonferenzbeitragPapierBegutachtung

Abstract

The method of reconstructing the secondary sources of the scattered field is applied to the numerically calculated field of a conducting sphere. The results show that in the physical optics case, the range of aspects has to be extended beyond the limits imposed by resolution requirements in order to include all portions of the space, where essential parts of the incident energy are reflected to. In the resonance region, the increased range of aspects is sufficient for a reconstruction of the whole sphere. The evaluation of the cross-polarized field component essentially contributes to the reconstruction of the shadow-side currents.
