N2 - The surface of rotating bodies can be reconstructed by tomographic methods also at microwave frequencies. The tomographic methods, used in this context, rely on the assumption of locally invariant scattering centers. The paper uses an algorithm which takes into account scattering centers which are variable. The experimental results indicate that, by using this method, a precise surface reconstruction can be obtained with accuracies well below one wavelength.
