Abstract
Germany is increasingly affected by demographic change, which is why companies are facing growing challenges. The increase in the number of older employees is particularly increasing the risk of long-term absences due to illness. Flexible solutions are required in order to be able to use these performance-altered people back in their jobs after their return. The Human-Robot-Collaboration (HRC) offers a corresponding potenzial. Demographic change and the ongoing shortage of skilled workers require flexible, innovative solutions to enable employees to return to their original workplaces after an illness-related absence. One approach for this is the support provided by HRC robots that are equipped with intuitive operating technologies. In the next step, the solution approaches will be further elaborated and validated in order to offer companies an opportunity to deal with the future challenges of demographic change.
