Abstract
A description is presented of a new test rig at the Institute for Automotive Engineering in Aachen, Federal Republic of Germany. Because of the special design of the suspension kinematics of the testing equipment slip angles can be varied between plus or minus 45 degree and camber angles between plus or minus 10 degree alternatively or simultaneously. For tire tests under tractive forces the wheel as well as the drum are equipped both with 100 kW electric motor drives.
