title = "Multidisciplinary optimisation of CFRP fuselages: Structural mechanics, vibro-acoustics and manufacturing aspects",
abstract = "For reasons of mass and total cost saving aircraft fuselages mainly based on carbon composites (CFRP) are under development. To achieve the full potential and to satisfy different requirements, multidisciplinary design optimisation (MDO) techniques are applied to investigate structural, external to internal noise and manufacturing aspects. In addition, techniques to quantitatively model qualitative knowledge are discussed. Technical results which can be generalised to a considerable extent are presented.",
