MOGLICHKEITEN DER SEKUNDAREN PRAVENTION BEI DERMATOLOGISCHEN KRANKHEITSBILDERN

The skin state primarily present plays an important role in the prevention of dermatoses. The stable physiological skin environment constitutes a barrier which affords the best protection against bacterial and mycotic infections as well as certain forms of eczema. If the skin is damaged or diseased, regeneration of the disturbed barrier function should be promoted with the same urgency as therapy and elimination of noxae. Possibilities of primary and secondary prevention in allergic and nonallergic drug-reactions of the skin, various forms of eczema, cutaneous carcinoma, mycoses, prurigo disease, pyodermias as well as porphyria cutanea tarda and the varicose-system complex are described in detail.
