N2 - This paper demonstrates a method to reduce the voltage stress of the auxiliary transistors inside an ARCP inverter. A saturable inductance softens the diode reverse recovery process. The proposed method has been successfully tested on a prototype converter over a wide range of currents, DC link voltages and switching frequencies.
