Metabolic effects of prenalterol in healthy volunteers

The aim of our study was to ascertain the β–adrenoceptor selectivity of prenalterol in healthy volunteers by determining haemodynamic and metabolic parameters over a wide dose range. As we have shown in a previous publication, by using these parameters in healthy humans it is possible to determine the receptor selectivity of a β–adrenoceptor active substance [l].
