Abstract
This contribution describes a concept of a human-machine-interface for manual assembly workplaces. We look at three areas, namely content, adaption, and interaction, and suggest a design taking into consideration ergonomics, assembly guidance, and motivation. The development of the concept is backed by a focus group, expert interviews as well as a prototype, and a study with test persons.
