Abstract
TiO2 ceramic scaffold were produced via the Schwarwalder. They showed a fully open structure with a porosity above 78 % It was shown that sea Holds can he produced with defined pore sizes, shape and architecture, which is a requirement for scaffold production. The macro- A nd microarchitecture was reproducible. Initial cell tests with fibroblasts showed a general feasibility of ceramic foams as cell carriers.
