Innovative Lösungen für die Feste Fahrbahn GETRAC® auf Asphalt

The GETRAC® is a ballastless track system of the slab track type consisting of an asphalt sup-porting layer on which the track panels directly rest. The sleepers are elastically connected to the asphalt layer by special high-strength concrete anchor blocks, which transfer the lateral and longitudinal forces from the track panel to the asphalt. Currently available are the GETRAC® A1 und GETRAC® A3 systems, the difference between them being the width of the sleeper. The GETRAC® A1 system uses a 2.60 metre long sleeper with normal width, whereas the GETRAC® A3 uses a wide sleeper only 2.40 metres in length. In 2004, the German Federal Bureau of Railways (EBA) granted its approval, without speed restriction, to various track designs. This approval means that GETRAC® models are cleared for high-speed rail services.
