Abstract

Inelastic electron and proton scattering leading to the 1⁺, T = 1 state at E_x = 15.1 MeV in ¹²C is studied in a wide momentum range (0 ≤ q ≤ 3m_π). In particular, we find that the enhancement of the M1 form factor from the shell model prediction at large q is mainly caused by the two pion exchange (σ × q correlation).
