Abstract
This article outlines a concept of justice for the (Social) Market Economy. After a discussion of fundamental philosophical issues, the perspective of Ordnungsethik or 'social market ethics' on justice is taken. In particular, this leads to the question of what recommendations such ethics provide under conditions of competition. This perspective is applied to several important issues, such as executive compensation, job losses and minimum wages. The article concludes with some reflections on the contribution of corporations to justice, in terms of CSR.
