Abstract

This paper presents an evaluation of the potential of integrating electric vehicles into commercial companies. The evaluation is based on fleet test data which was collected for 16 different commercial companies. The basic idea is to use a simulation, in which a backward-facing longitudinal dynamic model can simulate different types of electric vehicles. With this model and the real life velocity profiles from the fleet test data, the requested energy demand by the traction battery can be calculated. In addition, a charging simulation is integrated which includes the charging behavior of the user and the different types of charging stations in the fleet test area.
