Abstract

Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) was widely used in medical area such as implants or medical devices. In this study an implant made from TPU was treated by plasma activation and TiO2-coating. The biological properties of implants were tested in vitro to evaluate effects of surface treatment. The implant has been proven to be biocompatible.
