The corrected Scheme 3 is given below. 3 Scheme (Figure presented.) Synthesis of the C1-C7 fragment 20 of pulvomycin D from iodide 14 and Weinreb amide 15. Conditions for the Pinnick-Lindgren oxidation:[26] NaOCl, NaH2PO4, 2-methyl-2-butene, r.t. (tert-butanol/H2O=1/1).
