Abstract

The transformation of an existing landscape, no matter if it was exploited by humans or not, is a very complex operation, since landscape is generally a highly complex system, characterized by dynamic human-nonhuman interaction, nonlinear and unpredictable developments, permanent change and the emergence of new order or structure. The conclusions and recommendations refer to the organization of Alpine industrial landscape transformation projects.
