Abstract

The electric power and energy consumption in automotive power nets has continuously increased. This paper shows a cybernetic approach for an energy and power management system, based on the viable system model from Stafford Beer. The system is able the coordinate the components of the automotive power net in a safe and efficient way. This management system is coupled with an automotive power net simulation, based on the acausal modeling language Modelica. The simulation results show, that the cybernetic management system is able to fulfill the requirements and will be investigated in future work.
