Abstract

The present study outlines an approach for the optimization process of a twoseater bobsleigh. First, influencing parameters from the athletes' individual preferences to field conditions are discussed. The acquisition of relevant field data and synchronization issues are then presented for the steering mechanism, leading to an outlook about how the findings can be translated for the technical redesign and the validation of simulation models.
