Abstract

'Train soft skills and realize projects' is the slogan of the adveisor program which will be presented within this paper, based on the experiences und results of analyzing nine years of executing the program in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the Technical University of Munich (TUM). The main idea of adveisor is to teach and train the next generation of electrical engineers also in the field of soft skills and give them the chance to learn new technical, but especially personal skills. In order to strengthen the above mentioned skills the participants are given a technical hands-on project with restricted money and limited time in a safe environment with fixed framework conditions, where they are free to act and develop themselves. The evaluation shows, how the students perceive the internal development and also the basic numerical distributions of the participants.
