N2 - Climatic changes, population growth, technological development, the concept of sustainable development, use of renewable energy, geopolitics and pandemics are the key drivers that move Asia today. Some of these drivers are converging while others are conflicting with each other. For example, population growth and the concept of sustainable development do not align together; however, the new opportunities from developments in renewable energy and the smart technologies related to Internet of Things and new sensoring tools complement each other. Balancing the conflicting interests and promoting the harmonizing interests are the main challenges of effective policymaking, especially in Asian contexts.
